DIRECTIONS FOR USE
FLOWERS AND VEGETABLES: Mix 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) per gallon of water and apply to your garden with or without additional fertilizers at each watering cycle. Continue using until 3 to 4 weeks before harvest.
TURF AND GROUND COVERS: Using a tank or hose-end fertilizer sprayer, premix water at a rate of 1 tablespoon (½ ounce) of Farmer’s Gold RootShield Rootzone Activator per gallon of water and apply 20 gallons of this mixture per 500 square feet. For best results apply every 3 months, especially in problem areas with heavy clay soil or hard-pan. Farmer’s Gold RootShield Rootzone Activator concentrate treats 2,000 square feet per quart.
TREES AND SHRUBS: Mix 1 tablespoon (½ ounce) per gallon of water and use a bucket or deep-root feeder to apply 1½ gallons of mixture per shrub or 3 gallons per inch of trunk caliper every 3 months. One quart of Farmer’s Gold RootShield Rootzone Activator treats 40 shrubs or 3, 6-inch caliper trees.

Pre-Emergent
When preparing soil with liquid fertilizers add 1 gallon of Farmer’s Gold RootShield Rootzone Activator per acre and incorporate into the soil. Follow with a 2 quart per acre application every 30 days. Last application should be made 3 to 4 weeks before harvest.
Seeding
After seeding apply 1 gallon/acre of Farmer’s Gold RootShield Rootzone Activator with first irrigation, follow with 2 quart/acre application when seedling has reached a minimum of 2 to 3 inches in height. Repeat 2 quart/acre every 30 days. Last application should be made 3 to 4 weeks before harvest.
Transplanting
At time of planting, if using nurse tanks, add 2 quarts Farmer’s Gold RootShield Rootzone Activator to every 1000 gallons of water to reduce stress and shock. After transplanting and with first irrigation apply 2 quarts Farmer’s Gold RootShield Rootzone Activator per acre, repeat application every 30 days and up 20 to 30 days before harvest.
APPLICATION RATES AND MANUFACTURERS STATEMENT
Apply by sprinkler, drip, Micro, Furrow and Flood Irrigation, old fashioned watering can. Inject or meter into irrigation systems. Always apply 1 gallon/acre of Farmer’s Gold RootShield Rootzone Activator at the first application to all crops at the beginning of the growing season or prior to push, follow with 2 quart application every 30 days for the duration of the grow cycle using a total of up to 3 gallons per acre. Farmer’s Gold RootShield Rootzone Activator can be mixed with liquid fertilizers, can be shanked or injected into the soil.
Farmer’s Gold RootShield Rootzone Activator can be applied as a pre-emergent to reduce crusting, and promote rapid seed germination with strong establishment.
When grow cycle enters winter, and temperatures fall to an average of 50 degrees Fahrenheit or colder, discontinue using Farmer’s Gold RootShield Rootzone Activator, and resume applications in the spring when temperatures will remain above 50 degrees.* For late or early season frost and freeze protection, use Farmer’s Gold ColdShield.
APPLICATION RATES FOR AGRICULTURE
Field Crops
Apply a minimum of 1½ to 3 gallons per acre, with a minimum of 2 to 3 applications per crop season. Apply 1 gallon/acre after seeding with first irrigation, follow with 2 quart/acre application every 30 days and up to 3 to 4 weeks before harvest.
Row Crops
Apply minimum of 1½ to 3 gallons per acre. A minimum of 2 to 3 applications per acre per crop season. Apply 1 gallon with first irrigation, follow with 2 quart/acre applications every 30 days for a combined use of up to 3 gallons per acre. Last application should be made 3 to 4 weeks prior to harvest.
Trees and Vines
Apply 3 gallons per acre with a combined total of 5 applications for the growing season. Apply first application at the rate of 1 gallon per acre prior to bud break. Follow by 2 quart/acre application every 30 days and up to 30 days before harvest.
After Fumigation
Apply 1 gallon per acre 2 weeks following fumigation to jump start restoring microbes and bacteria needed for productive soils.
